Cres Cat Rescue is an civil initiative which is using the TNR program (trap-neuter-return) to help feral cats on the island of Cres, Croatia.
This project was started by Koraljka Polacek in February 2016.
It is carried out in cooperation with the vet clinics in Rijeka, and with animal welfare associations and volunteers from island and mainland.
From 2018 the Town of Cres is covering vet bills for feral cat castrations.
By January 2021 over 400 cats have been spayed/neutered and many were medically treated. Also, many cats and kittens have found new homes on the island and on the mainland, some even abroad.
About 150 spayed/neutered feral cats are fed on daily basis during the cold season in several different locations, thanks to volunteers and thanks to your help.
***
Our cats always need food and antiparasitics, your help is much appreciated.
Thank you for your support!
